Victor: A Victorious Life

Victor

The Victor living in you makes you victorious! Are you a Christian and still wondering why you’re the victim of so many calamities? Life is not fair. The fact is that you’re living in an imperfect world inside a decaying body of flesh. How victorious is that!

But… you have the DNA of a victor! You may not feel very victorious because you’re subject to emotions, and they are controlled by the soul. First and foremost, though, you are spirit, infused by the Holy Spirit, who lives in you. You have the power to decide whether you want to be controlled by your emotions or by the still, small voice of the Victor encouraging and guiding you through all things.

Thanks be unto God, who always causes us to be victorious in Christ, and “maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” (2 Corinthians 2: 14)

Did the above verse really say that God always causes us to be victorious? That’s a powerful statement. God said it; therefore you know it is true!

The second part of the verse explains that wherever you go, you demonstrate your delight in knowing God. Even when you feel down, because you haven’t been able to have the victory over certain issues yet, those around you sense that there’s something about you that they need and want. The more you victorious you become, the more you display the Victor within!

The secret to being victorious over your circumstances is simply your faith: “This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” (1 John 5: 4)

Strength

Those who try in their own strength soon give up because without faith there is no hope. But you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! (Philippians 4: 3)

There are many who expect God to work a miracle in their life. But they want it instantly, on their terms, and in desperation rather than expectation. Jesus Christ came in the flesh in order to give you abundant life. This means abundance in all things, including health and finances. God does His part, but you have a part to play as well.

Your part in the equation is to believe that He has already purchased your victory on the cross, and then to walk it out with patience and expectation. It is already done! Walking the walk is not always easy, especially if you don’t see a clear path through the fog of disillusionment, trials and pain. That’s why you need to cast your burden totally on the Victor, and be buoyed up with His strength.

Victorious Life

A victorious life is not obtained in a flash. It takes time and practice. Every trial He sends your way is actually to prepare you for a victorious life. You need to have an intimate relationship with your Victor Redeemer. After starting your day with praise and thanksgiving, reading the Word, and quiet meditation, you will hear His voice. That is where you learn how very much He loves you. Yes! You are worthy of His Love! Soon you will want to let Him lead you and help you manage all your issues. You will come to realize that you want to live fully for Him.

This daily encounter will become very precious as you practice to be enveloped in His peace and meditate on His Word throughout your day. His presence is tangible, His Word guides you, and anxiety gradually will give way to joy. Trying in your own strength to be victorious over sin is trying to follow the Law. It’s religion. Jesus did not die to found another religion! He died to present you to the Father and have a relationship with you and to give you the Comforter to help in all things (John 14). But, once you do it out of sheer love for Him; then it becomes easier and easier. You will feel His strength rising up in you! Yes! You are a victor in Him!

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles.” (Isaiah 40: 31) It’s His Promise! It’s all yours for the taking!

“Trust in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy.” (1 Timothy 6: 17)
